Our Living Room Coffee Bar

I have finally finished our coffee bar....it's been set up for quite some time now but I just recently put all the wall stuff up. We are LOVING it and, ya, just loving it. I found the coffee bar itself at a store called The Dented Can in Leslieville, Alberta for $55 bucks(woohoo) and the white picture at the top as well(it was $10). The shelf I found at Winners for $16.99 and the birdcage on that was from Idon'tremember for Idon'tknowhowmuch....it was on my bookshelves and I moved it. The two small white frames were garage sale finds for a couple bucks(I painted them white) and the picture below is of me(my hubby took it) and the frame was $16.99 from a small town store in Fairview. On the coffee bar itself we have a Nespresso(fathers day gift) and a Keurig. A coffee holder from Winners($15ish) and a black place mat from urban barn. Have I already mentioned how much I love it......cuz I do ;)

Evally Jewelry

I was involved in a home party this past weekend. A few of us who craft came together and had a sale at a friends house. The turn out was great and we are already excited for the next one in the Spring. We have decided to have it twice a year.
It was really fun setting up and as you can see my beautiful jewelry box took center stage(there is a blog post on how I distressed it). For any of you out there who craft and sell your things on line or at markets this is just another way to do so.

DIY-iTouch Case

I really wanted to have a fun case for my iTouch so I bought a clear hard case and did a little DIY. This was my first one so I did a little learning on it but I am very happy with the outcome.
I used the craft glue to glue all the fabric down and then I used the Amazing Goop for the edges and to attach the rhinestones and butterfly. I would have used the Amazing Goop for everything because it works so much better but it is very hard to spread. You may have noticed I did not cut out the camera or volume adjust holes......I really wasn't too concerned about them :)
Lesson to learn from me....do not glue anything to the inside, I did(I actually wrapped my fabric around it) and then it wouldn't fit on my iTouch so I had to do some altering.

If your interesed in attempting your own here are a few things you will need...
A hard case(soft cases will not work)
A really good glue(I recommend the Amazing Goop or something similar)

Lavender and Grey Wedding Shower

I did a little decorating for a shower thrown at my church and love how it turned out.
The three frames where painted, distressed and decorated by myself and I also made the burlap and lace banner. The two candlesticks were a darker brown so I painted them with lavender then a top coat of sheer silver and distressed them to match. Simple, easy and inexpensive projects to do and I feel like they add so much to the table.

DIY-Shabby Chic Jewelry Box

I purchased this jewelry box at The Salvation Army Thrift Store for 5.99 and turned it into something I love. I will be using it to display my jewelry at upcoming farmers markets/craft shows.

A couple close ups....

What you will need....

I lightly sanded the box before applying a coat of white paint. After giving it time to dry I applied a coat of the blue(which I am in LOVE with) and also let it dry. I then took the courser of the two sandpapers and did my distressing to the box. After, I took the finer sandpaper and
smoothed it all out.
